“Raine!”
He half turned in the direction of the voice but the owner crashed into him before he could say anything in response.
“What, Mallory?” he looked down at the giggling woman.
“Nothing~” she sang, hiding her giggles behind her hand. “Just wanted to see if you would answer me.”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“Oh, because you ignore most people?”
“You’re not most people,” he said dryly, rolling his eyes when Mallory gasped dramatically.
“Careful, sunshine. I might start thinking you have a thing for me.” Mallory kissed him on the cheek, winked and flounced off.
