Gold or Khaira. Arrogant little brat, even though she isn’t that strong. She’s that kid who laughs at her own shitty jokes. I would probably slap her if I met her in real life. Wears a lot of orange because she thinks it suits her but really it just kinda makes her look like a bright warning light, cause orange clashes with her yellow hair and orange eyes. Tends to talk over people, much to the irritation of Emerald when she’s trying to go over the points of a meeting. Rude to basically everyone.

Imperial Jade, Frederica or Freddy. Would probably describe herself as the mum friend. Actually knows how to cook despite none of the inhabitants of the temple actually needing to eat. Motto is be prepared for anything, probably why she knows how to cook. Is either really graceful or really clumsy, there is no in-between. Has been splashed by waves more than she would like. Probably presses flowers between her books and knows how to make daisy chains along with flower crowns.

Turquoise or Ottilie. Queen of style, bad decision making and interior decorating, so she says at least. Has a mirror for any occasion. Has hidden a ton of heeled shoes all over the place, they are still popping up and confusing people to this day. Not a morning person and hates being seen before she manages to tame the mess that is her hair. Needs to know she looks good at all times, that’s why she has so many mirrors. Will try to stab your eye out with stilettos if you mention how impractical they are.

Silver or Liana. Very rarely leaves the island because of her unusually coloured skin, doesn’t appreciate Gold’s constant bragging about being able to leave. Punk rock is literally her aesthetic. Sometimes she actually sings but she prefers to write songs. To her, the world is tinged in shades of grey that do not fade. She’s a very gloomy person, in case you couldn’t tell. Is actually very sarcastic but most people think she is just joking. Sometimes, she’ll get up in the middle of the night and go down to the beach to look at the moon.

Tanzanite (B) or Indigo. Is actually a boy, thanks for asking. Looks very feminine for some reason, he rolls with it. Only way you can actually tell him and his sister apart if you’re looking at them from the back is that his hair is shorter. Kinda just follows his sister and lets her do all the talking. Reads a lot. When not around his sister, he’s very sarcastic and pessimistic. Secretly very self conscious. Wants to step away from his sister to be his own person but he’s scared. Sometimes wears a skirt to fuck with people.

Tanzanite (A) or Ianthe. Exuberant and honestly quite childish. Has a habit of talking over her brother and ignoring his opinions without really meaning to. Probably the reason he sometimes cross-dresses tbh, she does it too. Doesn’t know what personal space is and zones out whenever someone tries to tell her. Secretly depends on her brother to be there so she can feel like she always has someone who can turn to her, doesn’t take well to him having any close friends apart from her and the rest of their “siblings”.

Emerald or Carys. Woe betide you if you mess up her schedules. Probably has a speech ready for any occasion. Loves white cats. Wears a heart shaped locket with a picture of one of her cats. Loud voice, doesn’t like being interrupted when she’s on a roll. Carries a clipboard everywhere so she can beat people over the head with it, threaten to at any rate. Do not mention the scar on her chin, she will freak out because of reasons and go into hiding for like a week. Good if you want some peace and quiet, not so good if there are meetings.

Topaz or Eda. Big Sister along with Titanium. Might be gay for her best friend, who knows? (I do! and I’m not telling). Anger issues, will fight you. Says “put up your dukes” on a regular basis. Uses old words a lot. Despite her anger issues, she is very polite. Her aesthetic is probably biker chick mixed with pastels. Lizards and fireflies are the best, okay??? She has several lizards in her room and goes out specifically at night to watch and catch fireflies. Armed and dangerous with her sword, watch out!

Titanium, Titania or Keres, take your pick, she’s known by all of them. She wouldn’t really describe herself as strong but that is what she is. Despite her straight forward nature, she’s willing to bend the truth and manipulate people to get what she wants which is the safety of her “siblings”. Demiromantic pansexual. Cant walk all that fast because of the fact she’s like 80% metal but that doesn’t mean she cant scare the bejeebers out of you. Very strong, water resistant but sinks like a stone. Good for underwater missions, I guess.

Another WIP???

Might as well make it official, am I right?

Anyhow, this is tentatively called the Temple of Gemma, which is Latin for jewel in case you were unaware, and will be known as such until I come up with a better name for it

Brief Description!

Perhaps it would be easy to say that the temple of Gemma was inhabited by ordinary people. Perhaps it would be easy to say that there was nothing strange with a school being located in a temple on a island.

But then you’d be wrong.

The people aren’t ordinary, their skeletons and skin layers slowly replaced by either gemstone or metal. They don’t need to eat, they don’t get sick, effectively they are immortal unless fatally wounded.

The only thing they need to fear is somone finding out about their differences and trying to harvest their gem or metal innards for profit.

There’s a ton of characters that I will post short stories about as I develop their personalities and such. Their basic personalities are based on what their stones or metals represent so there is that.
